Partners
The Abilitas Foundation has partnered with several organizations and corporations to make the Cold Water Ranch Lodge a reality.
the Cold Water Ranch, Merritt, BC
The Cold Water Ranch is an 800+ acre cattle ranch in the Merritt area. The Cold Water Ranch has donated ranch land acreage to the Abilitas Foundation for the construction of the Cold Water Ranch Lodge. Furthermore, the Cold Water Ranch comprises a vineyard which will produce Cold Water Ranch ice wine – part of the proceeds from this wine will support the annual operations of the Cold Water Ranch Lodge.
Power To Be Adventure Therapy Society
Power To Be Adventure Therapy Society was founded on its mission to enrich the health, education and quality of life for vulnerable youth, adults, families and the communities in which they belong. We achieve this by providing a unique and inclusive outdoor education curriculum that promotes physical heath and emotional well-being, advocates for accessibility, develops interpersonal and leadership skills, teaches environmental and social stewardship, offers peer mentorship and supports vocational opportunities. Recently recognized nationally with the "For Kids Sake Award", Power to Be has helped more than 3000 participants learn and grow in nature and hopes to help many more at the Cold Water Ranch.
MSA Society for Community Living

The MSA Society for Community Living is committed to supporting adults
with developmental disabilities to fully access and participate equally
in their community. We recognize that all people have gifts and are
able to contribute as full participating citizens in their community.
Services provided by the society include home sharing options,
residential services, day services and family support.
"Wherever possible we invite and encourage our community to participate and enhance the lives of the people we support."
New Beginnings
the "Beefers": Matsqui 4-H Beef Club
The Matsqui 4-H Beef Club, also know as the Beefers, is a local chapter of 4-H Canada and has established a partnership with the Abilitas Foundation. The young members of the club will purchase and raise a steer together and will donate 100% of the proceeds to the Abilitas Foundation. The group has represented the Abilitas Foundation as ambassadors at the PNE. The Beefers will also assist with site preparation and clean-up and is working with Abilitas to devise exciting cattle opportunities for the lodge guests.
